St. Richard’s Episcopal Church held its final Sunday service on January 10th, 2010 - the first Sunday in Epiphany. In February, the Episcopal congregation of Cristo Rey will begin their services at 5101 W. Devon. and we rejoice that our church building will continue to be of service.
Our service concluded with the blessing:
Go forth into the world in peace: Be of good courage, hold fast to that which is good; render to no one evil for evil, comfort the faint-hearted, support the weak, help the afflicted, love those who treat you badly; liberate the oppressed, preserve the gifts of nature, honor all men and women and children; love and serve the Lord always rejoicing in the power of God's Holy Spirit. And the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be upon you and remain with you for ever. Amen.
